Investigators from the Jamaica Constabulary Force and the Jamaica Fire Brigade are on the scene of an explosion at a Scotiabank in Port Antonio, Portland.

The explosion, which took place on Saturday morning, reportedly destroyed two ABMs at the Harbour Street branch in the parish.

The cause of the explosion is unknown.

One man was reportedly injured.

The Port Antonio fire department confirmed that the injured man was found in the incinerator of the complex.

In January 2021, Scotiabank’s Port Antonio branch was one of several converted to the Digital operating model.
