Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, says this year’s budget was crafted to ensure the people benefit from the hard won macro-economic gains.
Dr. Clarke told the nation that the Holness administration is listening to the concerns of the Jamaican people as he opened the 2024-2025 Budget Debate in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

That’s the message Finance Minister Dr. Clarke delivered in the opening of the budget debate on Tuesday.
The Finance Minister says the multiple achievements made on the macro-economic front are not sufficient if the average Jamaican does not benefit.
It’s clear the Holness administration is aware of the many grievances expressed by Jamaicans in the run-up to the Local Government Elections.
Dr. Clarke says the current budget has been crafted to address many of these pain points.
The Finance Minister says the Holness Administration and no other is best placed to ensure Jamaicans benefit from their hard-won fiscal gains.
