The Meteorological Service has issued a flash flood watch for all parishes as there have been reports of flooding in several areas resulting from heavy rains.

The Met Service says a persistent trough across the central Caribbean continues to influence weather conditions across the island.

The flash flood watch will remain in effect until 5:00 pm on Wednesday.

Duty Forecaster, Clayton Johnson, says the watch has been extended for the low lying and flood prone areas of eastern parishes.

The Met Service says it has also issued a flash flood watch for all other low lying and flood prone parishes.

Mr. Johnson says the rains gradually began to affect other parishes during Tuesday afternoon.
