Four men are to face the courts after being charged for serious crimes including murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

The men are from the parishes of St. James, St. Andrew and St. Catherine.

Police have charged 20-year-old Brandon Williams otherwise called ‘Messi’, of Granville, St. James, with the murder of  37-year-old Ronald Samuels, otherwise called ‘Sam’.

Samuels was shot and killed along Gordon Crescent in Granville, St. James after returning home from a party on May 2, last year.

Williams is to appear before the St. James Parish Court at a later date.

In another matter, police arrested 21-year-old Ashton Danville of Norwood, St. James for holding up employees of a business along Market Street in the parish on September 7.

Danville is accused of being one of two men who held up the group at gun point before robbing them of several items including cash.

He’s been charged with illegal possession of firearm, malicious destruction of property, robbery with aggravation, assault at common law and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Meanwhile, the police also charged two men with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and robbery with aggravation.

They are  21-year-old Rajoui Smith and 19-year-old Tyreke Roberts both of Spanish Town in St. Catherine.

They were nabbed over an incident on Molynes Road in St. Andrew on October 3. The two men allegedly brandished a firearm and robbed a man.
They were later apprehended and searched.

One 9mm pistol along with two 9mm rounds of ammunition were seized.
Other items were also reportedly seized.

In the meantime, 27-year-old Shawn Pennant of Old Harbour in St Catherine is to face the court for illegal possession of firearm, house break-in and robbery with aggravation.

Pennant was implicated in the robbery of two women at their home on September 10.

He reportedly robbed the women of cash and jewellery.
