Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, says constant dialogue has been ongoing with the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, regarding the reoccupation of the Cornwall Regional Hospital in St James.
He was responding to comments from Chamber President, Oral Heaven, who says an urgent town hall meeting is needed to discuss the updates on the hospital’s renovation.

Dr Tufton says the Ministry has always been open and honest with the respective stakeholders regarding the scope of works at the hospital.
The Minister admits that while there has been a number of refurbishing issues, the rebuilding of the hospital is well underway.
Dr Tufton says the idea of a town hall meeting, as suggested by Mr Heaven, was his idea.
He says the Ministry is finalising a date for the meeting.
