The Ministry of Health and the Medical Association of Jamaica, MAJ, are partnering to provide N95 masks for the COVID19 response to private medical practitioners.

The announcement was made by Health Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton.

Dr. Tufton was speaking last evening during a digital media conference.

He says it’s important for private practitioners to remain active and responsive to the pandemic.

The Minister also announced a partnership with the University of the West Indies to allow for final year medical students to man Ministry of Health call centres.

Another partnership was announced with the Andrews Memorial Hospital in St. Andrew, to assist with the COVID19 response.
