National sprinter, Shericka Jackson, says being composed was the biggest lesson she learned last season.

Jackson dominated the national championship taking the sprint double while establishing a new lifetime best in the 200-metres, before going on to break the national record in posting the second fastest time in history – 21-point-45 to win the event at the World Championships.

She was also part of the Jamaica team that shattered the national record to win the women’s sprint relays.

Jackson, who finished as runner-up to Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce for the national Sportswoman of the year award, says she considered quitting the 100 and 200 meters in 2022.
