The Jamaica Urban Transit Company, JUTC, says only passengers wearing masks or facial coverings will be allowed on buses.
Corporate Communications Manager at the JUTC, Cecil Thoms, says this requirement takes immediate effect in light of the increase in COVID-19 cases.
Adjustments have also been made regarding travel times due to the Government’s curfew restrictions.
For hill routes, Above Rocks and Border, and buses numbered 52, 53, 54 and 61, the last trip will be made at 4:30pm.
All other routes will be available up to 5pm daily.
No passengers will be transported between 6pm and 7pm.
The JUTC is advising that it can facilitate transportation of government entities and companies providing essential services.
