The Independent Commission of Investigations South Eastern Regional Office has launched investigations into two separate fatal shooting incidents reportedly by the police.
INDECOM says the two incidents, which resulted in the death of two men, occurred in St. Catherine and St. Mary.
The deceased men have been identified as 25-year-old Robert Duncan and 42-year-old Marlon Bell.
The first incident occurred at the intersection of William and French Streets in Spanish Town, St. Catherine on Monday.
The fatal incident involved one off-duty police officer who’s alleged to have fired at Duncan, who was seen running towards him with a firearm.
The second incident happened yesterday, in the community of Crab Hall in Annotto Bay, St. Mary.
The police have reported that three officers went to a premises where they were engaged in an exchange of gunfire. Bell was later seen with gunshot wounds.
Both men were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
All four officers, involved in both incidents, provided their accounts to investigators.
They were served Section 21 Notices, to submit statements and attend interviews in relation to the incidents.
