Information Minister Robert Morgan has defended the government’s $18 million dollar expenditure on Foreign Affairs Minister, Kamina Johnson Smith’s failed Commonwealth Secretary-General Bid.

The Information Minister stressed the importance of the Heads of Government meeting in Rwanda and the benefits.

Of the $18 million, 10 was spent on travel and accommodation.

Another $5 million was expended on marketing and communications.

Minister Morgan says engaging many of the countries in attendance at Kigali individually, would’ve been considerably more expensive.
