The Jamaica Tallawahs registered an impressive 33 run victory over the St. Lucia Kings in their CPL T20 eliminator at the Providence Stadium in Guyana last night to keep their hopes of winning the title alive.
The Tallawahs batted first and posted 148 for 8 in their 20 overs thanks to a top score of 47 from Shamar Brooks, 31 from Mohammed Nabi and 25 from Raymon Reifer.
David Weise (vee-sah) was the leading wicket taker for the Kings with 3 for 19 while Alzarri Joseph grabbed 2 for 31.
In reply the St. Lucia Kings were dismissed for 115 in 18 overs.
Faf du Plessis was the only batsman to put up any resistance with a knock of 41.
Fabian Allen 3 for 28, Nabi 3 for 9 and Imad Wasim 2 for 21 were the main wicket-takers for the Tallawahs.
The Tallawahs will be back in action tonight when they face the Guyana Amazon Warriors in a virtual semi-final with the winners going to play the Barbados Royals in the final on Friday.
