Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, says Jamaica has developed a strategy that will seek to provide tourists with health coverage if they test positive for the coronavirus while in the country.

He also says Jamaica’s being lauded for it’s coining and use of the term Generation Covid, which refers to a new type of tourist, who’ll emerge during and after the prevailing pandemic.

The Minister says the phased reopening of the local tourism sector has seen the country becoming the first to establish a COVID-19 resilient corridor.

He says due to the government’s effective management of the coronavirus, the country continues to benefit from tourism despite declines.
