Jamaican swimmer, Antoinette Popp, had her best performance at the Western Athletic Conference Championships held in Utah. 

The swimming component of the meet ran from February 17 to 21.

Popp won the 200 yard backstroke “B” final in a time of 2:01.3.

The University of Northern Colorado sophomore swam a personal best of 24.12-seconds in the 50 yard freestyle. She would place 7th in the C final in 24.27 seconds.

The 100 yard backstroke saw the business management major, swimming a near personal best with a time of 56.40 seconds. 

That placed her in her first ever Championship final where she placed eighth in a time of 57.40 seconds.

She is ranked second amongst Jamaican women this season in the 100 and 200 yard backstroke.
