Tax Administration Jamaica and the Major Organized Crime & Anti- Corruption Agency, MOCA, have arrested 47 delinquent taxpayers in a joint operation in St.Ann.
TAJ’s Special Enforcement Team and members of MOCA have collaborated in an operation called Garden Clean-Up.
The operation targeted 62 chronically delinquent taxpayers who failed to obey court orders.
Communications Officer of TAJ, Leighton Beckles, says the operation has been on going.
Mr. Beckles says 13 delinquent taxpayers were arrested yesterday.
He says the operation will be conducted in some other parishes.
