Chief Executive Officer of the National Works Agency, NWA, E.G Hunter, believes the Junction Main Road in St. Mary is not worth the expense required for extensive rehabilitation work.
Mr. Hunter says beyond routine maintenance, no major work will be done on the surface.
The NWA Boss believes suitable alternatives to the roadway exist and are already in use by most of the motoring public.
While accepting policy decisions are beyond his scope, he says his recommendation to the government will be as outlined.
However, Mr. Hunter noted that work on the breakaway at Chovey in the parish will be finished by the end of July.
