Justice Minister Delroy Chuck has admitted that he does not trust the government issued drivers licences nor the elector registration card or voters ID, as a means to verify the identities of persons.
He says the signatures of the Justices of the Peace are more trustworthy and that is why he is not advocating for payment to them.

He says when the National Identification System, NIDS, comes into effect, over 80 percent of the verifications now being done by Justices of the Peace will no longer be necessary.
