Chief Public Health Inspector for Portland, Lorenzo Hume, says a team from the Public Health Department in the parish visited the KFC franchise in Port Antonio recently.
This, after a video emerged on social media with what appeared to be a rodent atop the restaurant’s menu board.
Mr Hume says there was no sign of a rodent or rat infestation at the restaurant
But, Mr. Hume says he’s not attempting to absolve the operators of the franchise.
And, Mr Hume says the public health department will be ramping up its monitoring of high-risk establishments in the parish.
He was speaking last evening on Nationwide @ 5 with Cliff Hughes and Franklin McKnight at the Ministry of Local Government and Community Development’s Town Hall Meeting at the Errol Flynn Marina in Port Antonio.
