A construction worker working on Burnt Savannah Primary School in St Elizabeth, has admitted that a delay in the provision of the materials is behind the late start of the repairs to the institution.
The worker, who wished to remain anonymous, told our news centre that two working days have been wasted due to the wait.

Almost 10 months after Hurricane Melissa devastated the school, and the institution remains a shell of its former self.
With less than two weeks before the start of the new academic year, our news team visited the school on Thursday to see firsthand the dire conditions and speak with parents and members of the school administration.
Meanwhile, Vice-Principal of Burnt Savannah Primary, Gary Johnson, says despite the school’s current condition, several tentative plans are in place to facilitate the students’ return on September 7.
