The Media Association of Jamaica, MAJ has called on local authorities to swiftly investigate the murder of Glaener journalist, Job Nelson.

Mr. Nelson was shot and killed in the vicinity of St Andrew Technical High School, STATHS, on Spanish Town Road on Tuesday night.

The Denham Town police report that Nelson was driving his 2007 white Honda Fit Aria motor car when he stopped at the stop light in the vicinity of STATHS and was fired on by gunmen.

Reports are that Nelson attempted to drive himself to hospital but crashed into a utility pole.

The MAJ describes Mr. Nelson’s murder as a brazen and senseless criminal attack on Jamaica’s citizens.

MAJ says the public has lost a dedicated journalist whose passion was to educate and inform.
