Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie says he’ll not resile from his call for persons who dispose of waste unlawfully to pay significant fines.

Minister McKenzie says he has had special meetings to address major drainage problems facing several parish councils.

He says a preliminary sum of $250-million is required to begin addressing the problems.
