President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce, Oral Heaven, is calling on Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton, to meet with the Chamber regarding the reoccupation of Cornwall Regional Hospital.
Renovations to the hospital were originally expected to be finished by 2020 but were delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While speaking at a press conference Thursday afternoon, Mr. Heaven requested an open discussion between the ministry and the public.
Mr. Heaven says March 2025 is seemingly the projected date for repairs to the hospital to be completed.
He says the reoccupation of the hospital’s third phase was expected to be completed in December.
