More police personnel and vehicles are being dispatched to St. James, as part of efforts to stem crime in the island’s most violent parish.

For the past few years, St. James has had the highest murder rate in the country.

Speaking last evening at a national security town hall meeting in Montego Bay, Police Commissioner Dr. Carl Williams promised more human and physical resources for the parish.

Dr. Williams says the vehicle fleet for Montego Bay and surrounding communities will also be doubled.
