Nathaniel Thomas Breaks Age Group 50 Metre Freestyle Record at Walter Rogers Championship

Nathaniel Thomas of Tornado Swim Club, was among the record breakers at the Walter Rogers Age Group Championships, at the Stadium Pool, on the weekend.

The Campion College standout won the boys 13 and over 50-metres freestyle in a record 23-point-98 seconds.

Thomas broke the previous record of 23.99 seconds set by Sidrell Williams in 2014.

Thomas says it was his strongest swim of the meet.

Other record breakers include, Benjamin Davis winning the 11 and over boys 200 and 400-metres freestyle in 2:08.28 and 4:31.68 respectively.

And Leah Chin posted a record 1:11.33 in winning the 13 and over 100-metres backstroke.
