National golf coach, Jason Lopez, says the new rule change that gives organisers of professional and elite amateur golf competitions the right to limit the length of golf clubs will not be a problem to implement in Jamaica.

The rule is expected to take effect next year.

At present, any club, other than a putter, can be a maximum 48 inches in length, but this would be limited to 46 inches if organisations use the option of a new “model local rule” being introduced by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, R-and-A and United States Golf Association.
