The National Environment and Planning Agency, NEPA, says it’s far advanced with plans to establish a wild life sanctuary at Goat islands. The Goat islands off the coast of St Catherine, was tapped for the establishment of a massive development of a Chinese-built port and city.
But the government has decided to instead develop a wild life sanctuary there.

In the meantime, Director of Natural Resources Management and Environmental Planning at the Urban Development Corporation, Fara Simpson, highlighted the Jamaican species that are to be added to the sanctuary.
