CEO of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, PSOJ, Dennis Chung, says the slim majority earned by the JLP in yesterday’s General Elections is proof that the government will be under close watch.

The JLP narrowly won with 33 of the 63 seats.

Mr. Chung is also reminding the incoming government of commitments to the people made during the campaign.

Last November, the PSOJ and other civil and private sector groups called on both parties to commit to a 5 point proposal.

These include fiscal responsibility, price stability, private public partnerships and improvements in social security and ease of doing business.
