Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the National Housing Trust, NHT, is on track to build close to 22-thousand houses by the end of this financial year.
He says that’s the most ever built by any administration.
He is also criticising the Opposition People’s National Party, PNP, for its handling of home ownership when it formed the government.
The PNP had recently pointed to what it described as the injustice of persons not having titles and land under the Holness administration, but the Prime Minister hits back saying his critics were more talk than action.
The Prime Minister says his government took action.
Mr Holness was addressing the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 754 housing solutions at Rhyne Park Estate in St James on Friday.
The development will see one-bedroom apartments to three- bedroom townhouses being sold at a price range of $7.9 million to $18-million.
