The Bank of Jamaica says the country’s Net International Reserves, NIR, stood at USD$2,444,000,000 at the end of September this year.

That’s a decline of USD$93-million, when compared to the corresponding period at the end of August this year.

At the current level, the NIR can cover approximately 22-weeks worth of goods and services purchases, well above the international benchmark of 12 weeks coverage.
