The police say they have not arrested anyone in connection with 150 rounds of ammunition and an M-16 magazine which were seized in Westmoreland, on Friday.
They say police from the Savanna-la-Mar division seized the ammunition during a targeted raid on Segree Street in the parish.
According to them, an abandoned motor car was searched between 12 noon and 1pm and they found 86 5.56 cartridges and 49 9millimetre cartridges.
The police say they also found 10 twelve gauge cartridges, five .38 rounds and one M16 magazine.
