Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, has criticized the Holness administration for its management of the National Housing Trust, NHT.

Mr. Golding, who was addressing the annual constituency conference in his South St. Andrew base on Sunday, says the JLP government has depleted the coffers of the NHT.

Daina Davy has the details.

Mr. Golding says what the JLP has done with the NHT is nothing less than a crying shame.

He says the JLP has damaged the viability of the NHT by raiding it of more than 100 billion dollars.

The Opposition Leader drew attention to the NHT’s mortgage financing arrangement with commercial banks.

Mr. Golding says the damage done to the NHT, compromises the ability of the Trust to provide low income housing solutions.
