Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr. Morais Guy is calling on the Government to immediately re-institute mandatory mask wearing, as the COVID-19 numbers increase daily.
On Monday, the country’s positivity rate stood at 35-point 5 per cent.
Dr. Guy says its been little over a week since Prime Minister Andrew Holness declared he was contemplating the reintroduction of the protocol, yet nothing has been done or said.

The country is currently experiencing a fifth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The mandate for members of the public to wear a mask expired on April 15.
