Opposition Spokesman on Tourism, Dr. Wykeham Mcneil, is urging the government to be aggressive in its pursuit of the Canadian tourism market.

Dr. McNeil was reacting to a recent travel advisory issued by Canada which urged its citizens to be careful when visiting Jamaica.

Canadians have been warned to exercise a great degree of caution when traveling to Jamaica because of its high levels of crime.

Dr. Mcneil says this year in particular steps must be taken to secure the Canadian market.
