Member of Parliament for Western St Mary, Robert Montague, has announced the Ministry of Education’s plan to add eight classrooms and other facilities to Oracabessa High School.

He made the announcement in his State of the Constituency address in Parliament on Tuesday. He says approximately $49 million is being spent on designs, tests and approvals.

Mr Montague has highlighted that a new block of twenty classrooms will be added to Oracabessa Primary School. He says that Iona High School will also be the site of a massive expansion.

Meanwhile, Minister Montague, says there will be an expansion of Tacky High School.

He says $30 million is being being spent on pre-investment activities for the construction.

Mr Montague says work is expected to begin in 2025.
