Organisers of the GC Foster Classic are optimistic that this year’s staging of the event will run off as planned even as the country continue to the fight to keep the COVID-19 pandemic under control.
Last year’s meet was cancelled just two days before the scheduled date after the organisers had invested a lot of time and financial resources into its staging.
This year’s meet is set for the GC Foster track on March 16.
Director of the meet, Maurice Wilson, is positive that once the virus is under control they will get the green light to host the meet.
Wilson says everything is in place for a safe hosting of the meet.
He says they have made their application through the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association, JAAA.
