Prime Minister Holness says the much anticipated Integrated Resource Plan, IRP, has been completed and is currently being reviewed by the Office of Utilities Regulation, OUR.

The IRP has been touted since 2015.

Among other things, the IRP aims to address the planning needs of the electricity sector, determine the amount of electricity that will be required, the placement of generation plants and the cost to Jamaicans.

Mr Holness says with the IRP, the country will be in a better position to make firmer pronouncements on what the composition of electricity should be.
