President of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association, O’Brian Heron, has declared JAPEX2026 a resounding success, topping the numbers generated for the 2025 iteration.
Heron gave a breakdown of the numbers at the closing ceremony for Jamaica’s premier tourism trade show at Sandals Dunn’s River in St. Ann on Wednesday.

Jamaica Product Exchange, or JAPEX2026, ran from September 14 to 17, under the theme Jamaica Reimagined.
The four-day event was held in St Ann for the first time in a decade.
It has brought together buyers and sellers to boost interest and investment for the country’s tourism product.
By comparison, JAPEX2025, held in Montego Bay, St. James, generated some US $100 in contracts to the benefit of Jamaican tourism.
