Opposition Leader Dr Peter Phillips, yesterday lauded essential workers who’ve been at the front of the fight against the coronavirus.
He was speaking during his official Labour Day message.

But Dr Phillips says too many frontline workers return home to find their families without food or adequate medical supply,citing lock- downs without adequate notice for restocking.

Dr Phillips says the pandemic highlights the inequalities faced by many Jamaicans stressing the need for contract workers to be treated as full time workers.

He says the government has a responsibility to protect workers rights and must pass laws to ensure all workers get the benefits due to them.
