Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the May Pen to Williamsfield leg of the East-West Highway is now 75 per cent complete.

The Prime Minister says it will be open to the public by the first quarter of next year.

Mr. Holness says even in its unfinished state travel time has been cut significantly.

However, he says the infrastructure will also have other significant benefits to the country.

The Prime Minister says despite the difficulty being faced due to overlapping global crises the highway signals the government’s commitment to improving the lives of Jamaicans.
