Well-known PNP activist, Karen Cross, has launched a blistering attack on the party’s leadership following what she says is an internal poll done in East Portland.

Miss Cross says the poll shows PNP President, Dr. Peter Phillips, trailing the JLP’s Annmarie Vaz in popularity by double digits in the traditional PNP constituency.

The PNP activist says the poll was done by a well-known national pollster. Miss Cross made the revelation in a letter which was sent a few days ago to the PNP Executive and National Executive Council, NEC.

A copy of the letter has been obtained by Nationwide News. The PNP activist told the party’s NEC and executive that party members in East Portland are talking about a poll which she says was done by a prominent pollster.

Miss Cross says comrades in East Portland told her during a recent tour of the constituency that the poll shows the current MP, Dr. Lynvale Bloomfield, is trailing the JLP’s Annmarie Vaz by 14 points. She says the poll shows that attorney-at-law and PNP aspirant for the seat, Andrea Moore, is behind Mrs. Vaz by 12 points.

Miss Cross told the PNP leadership that it’s startling that the poll shows that in East Portland, PNP President Dr. Peter Phillips, is also trailing Mrs. Vaz in popularity, by 12 points.

The firebrand PNP activist told the PNP executive that it’s taking party members in East Portland for fools because the poll has been used to sideline Moore and Bloomfield.

Miss Cross wrote that if the poll is to be given credence it means that – “Peter Phillips is the problem”.

Cross began her four-page letter by saying she had a hard time trying to find a way to frame the document without causing too much uproar because it’s almost Christmas. But, the PNP activist told fellow party members that she has to speak her truth.

Miss Cross told the PNP executive and NEC that she visited East Portland and spoke to comrades. Cross says she detected anger towards Dr. Bloomfield and deep resentment towards the PNP for its handling of the selection process to replace Bloomfield.

The PNP activist told the PNP leadership that comrades will take drastic action if Ms. Moore is sidelined and PNP patriots chairman, Javette Nixon, is parachuted into the constituency to replace Bloomfield.

Cross also wrote that all of East Portland is buzzing and very upset about the injustice the PNP wants to deliver to Andrea Moore.

The PNP activist says comrades in East Portland are angry at PNP Vice President, Mikhael Phillips, who she says has been establishing a presence in the constituency.

Cross accused Phillips, who’s the son of PNP President Dr. Peter Phillips, of acting like – “a wanna be party leader or deputy assistant leader”.
