The Opposition People’s National Party, PNP, is commending the investigators probing the Ministry of Education/ CMU corruption scandal on its raid this morning.
In a statement this afternoon, the party says it regards today’s developments involving Ruel Reid, Fritz Pinnock and others being taken into custody as a first step.
The PNP also says it’s an important step in Jamaica’s efforts to clean up corruption and create an environment of good governance and probity in public affairs.
The PNP statement adds that it’s still too early to offer a detailed assessment but that it continues to monitor these and other corruption probes being conducted.
