The Police High Command is condemning the murder of Constable Toddmar Allen.

In a statement this afternoon, the High Command extends its deepest condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Constable Allen.

The High Command says Allen was an outstanding officer who served the Jamaica Constabulary Force, JCF, for more than 12 years.

According to the High Command, no effort will be spared in bringing Constable Allen’s killers to justice.

The High Command says it’s encouraging all members of the JCF to remain vigilant in relation to their safety.

The Police say they’ll continue working hard to prevent senseless acts of violence against citizens.

The leadership of the JCF says it’s seeking additional support from all law abiding citizens as it seeks to reverse the culture of violence in Jamaica.

The High Command is assuring the public that the Police will not be deterred in its efforts to enforce law and order and build safer communities.

Police reports are that Constable Allen was among patrons who were at a bar in Rollington Town in East Kingston last night.

At about 12:15 a.m., two gunmen approached and opened fire at him.

The Police were called and Constable Allen was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Constable Allen was assigned to the Mobile Reserve.
