The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ and the Jamaica Accountability Meter Portal, JAMP, are welcoming the announcement of the appointment of former Contractor General, Greg Christie, to the position of Executive Director of the Integrity Commission.
In a release issued yesterday, the PSOJ and JAMP say the anticipate that the selection of Mr. Christie for this role will positively contribute to the increased effectiveness of the country’s premier anti-corruption agency.
They also advanced that Mr Christie’s reputation, his demonstrated tenacity and competence make him a suitable selection for the role of Integrity Commission boss.
The PSOJ and JAMP are also describing the appointment of a permanent Executive Director at the Integrity Commission as a positive development.
However, they are also calling for the full appointment of other directors to permanent roles and for the filling of other vacancies that exist on the Commission to support a more robust approach in the execution of its mandate.
