Minister of Education, Ruel Reid says Opposition Spokesman on Education, the Reverend Ronald Thwaites, will be co-chairing the National Values and Attitudes Committee along with him.

The Education Minister says one way to ensure its success, is to have many sectors represented in the management and coordination of the programme.

Senator Reid noted that he enjoys a very cordial relationship with Rev. Thwaites and they both want to promote good values and attitudes.

For his part, Rev. Thwaites said the campaign, which has been dormant for many years, is long overdue.

Senator Reid says he’s making sure that when the campaign is up and running, it will be a lasting one.

Minister Reid and Rev. Thwaites were speaking at the Security and Ethics Conference earlier this week.
