Government Senator Abka Fitz-Henley is calling for sections of the private sector to partner with the government and increase the number of houses built under the New Social Housing Programme, NSHP.

The programme provides shelter for those in need.

Senator Fitz-Henley told Parliament that over 130 houses have been handed out to families in need.

He noted this means that approximately 520 Jamaicans across 48 constituencies have so far benefited from the programme.

Senator Fitz–Henley says the government is focused on alleviating the challenges facing people across various sectors.
