Finance Minister Audley Shaw says the annual road show to woo investors to Jamaica has yielded highly favourable results.

Minister Shaw and his delegation return to Jamaica today, after touring several cities in Europe.

A statement from the Ministry of Finance says they met with more than twenty corporate entities in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Vienna and Zurich.

The meetings included discussions with holders and potential buyers of Jamaica Bonds.

It also included a special luncheon in London arranged by JAMPRO and the Jamaica High Commission, which was attended by Chairman of the Economic Growth Council, Michael Lee Chin, as well as current and potential investors in Jamaica, and representatives of the British Government and Parliament.

The visits follow a similar tour of major cities in the United States last month.

Mr. Shaw says the investors have been highly favourable and responsive in the meetings, which augurs well for future bond placements by the Jamaican Government.
