Six Jamaican coaches with help from the JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation and the Jamaica Football Federation are in Trinidad and Tobago an inaugural A License coaching course.
The in-person phase of the course runs from July 4 – 11 and will be led by TTFA’s Technical Director Anton Corneal, English FA’s educator Tony McCallum and Brazil’s coach educator and former National Team Fitness Coach Geraldo Delamore.
Andrew Peart – JFF Head of Coaching Education; Wendell Downswell – Director of Football, Merron Gordon – National Men’s Team Assistant, Rudolph Speid – Technical and Development Committee Chairman, Marcel Gayle – National Under 20 Head Coach, and Vassel Reynolds – JFF Coach Educator are the coaches enrolled on the course.
This course will be done over 222 hours of in person, online and workplace learning and is consistent with similar content, contact hours and learning outcomes of other A License courses in the CONCACAF and UEFA regions.
The main aim of this course is to educate coaches on the modern trends of the game, focusing on the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching, with an emphasis on leading the elite player and team at an advanced level.
