A resident of Tivoli Gardens, Leleith James, testified today testified before the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry that she witnessed soldiers fire at an injured man, as he lay on a handcart, during the May 2010 operation to apprehend Christopher Coke.

Miss James says that while taking refuge in the house of a relative, she saw a young man named Nicholas being pushed on a handcart.

She says that as the cart got further away from her, soldiers arrived on the scene in a jeep.

She alleges that upon seeing the soldiers, the men pushing the cart fled.

Miss James says she then witnessed the soldiers shooting at Nicholas as he lay on the cart.
