In his Back to School Message address to the nation last evening, the President of the Jamaica Teachers Association, JTA, Owen Speid, is praising the work teachers did last year, despite what he describes as challenges teachers faced last school year.

He points to first sitting of the Primary Exit Profile, PEP, examinations and teacher attrition in secondary schools as some issues faced.

Mr. Speid is also calling on students, parents and teachers to continue playing their role in the education system.
