Minister of Sports Olivia Grange, encourage Jamaica’s athlete to continue their preparation for the Tokyo Olympics even as the Novel Coronavirus threatens to cause the postponement of the Games.
Several sporting events have already been postponed due to the virus.
UK based national gymnast, Danusia Francis, has already booked her place on Jamaica’s team to the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Several of Jamaica’s Track and field athletes have secured the qualifying time for their respective events and are awaiting to participate in the National trials in June.
Minister Grange says despite the dark cloud being cast over the Games, the athletes should continue with their preparation.
