A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-lover in Ocho Rios, St. Ann yesterday afternoon.

She’s 20-year-old Alisia Garey, a bartender from the parish.

The JCF Corporate Communications Unit, CCU, says the woman was stabbed after she made a report to the police that her ex-lover had threatened to kill her.

This is the third such matter to happen since Saturday.

Reports from the police are that the ex-boyfriend went to Garey’s house yesterday morning and threatened to kill her.

She later went to the Ocho Rios police and reported the threat. He was warned by the police and both left the station in opposite directions.

However, Garey was later attacked at the back entrance of Champion Plaza, on the Ocho Rios bypass.

She was stabbed in the chest with a knife. Her assailant then ran from the scene.

Garey was rushed to hospital where she later died. Her ex-boyfriend has since been apprehended and remains in police custody. He’s to be questioned by investigators.
